This national religious fiesta is one of the most traditional ones and is centuries old...

Todos Los Santos combines the solemnity of the saints with the commemoration of those departed. During the year, there are many fiestas for different saints; but the Catholic church has deemed this day to remind the faithful that there are many more souls to be remembered.

Family members, friends and acquaintances who have died are in people's thoughts and it is a common sight to see people attending mass and taking flowers to their loved one's grave. In general, this is a quiet day for reflection and remembrance.
